“Wither” is the first single to be released by this five-piece Progressive Metalcore band since they released their debut EP “The Complex Truth” in December last year. They have certainly stepped things up in a big way, bringing in elements of prog-rock and beat down alongside their traditional melodic metalcore sound. The track was recorded by the band’s lead guitarist Mason Hine who really pushes the band to their sonic limits. There are plenty of punchy and elaborately complex guitar riffs here particularly during the verses.

Vocalist Detlyn Raven has also improved significantly both in vocal delivery and writing more heartfelt lyrics. He reflects on his life, singing during the chorus (A lot has changed this past year, but that's okay. These things don't ever stay the same anyway. It's slowly sinking in so I'll shed my fucking skin. I'll shed my skin again). This adds a deeply personal dimension to the band and expands upon the lyrical themes of their previous work. I’m looking forward to seeing how the band evolves for their next big release.
