I have the honor to present to you, Mercury Sky From various parts of Sydney, Mercury Sky have breathed a breath of fresh air into the rock/metal scene with their EP "Infra" which I had the pleasure of hearing yesterday, from that EP is a song titled "Nausea", which is up on spotify.
"Nausea" completely blew me away, being greeted by a soothing build up of rich, harmonious vocals being backed up by an ambient guitar melody, It had me on my toes and kept me intrigued as to what the rest of the song had to offer. Nausea captures the bands intentions in creating a piece of art that is more diverse and intense than they have ever done, and has left me feeling refreshed.
Throughout the whole song I was captivated by the technicality of the guitars and aggression of the vocals, which at the same time was relaxing and mesmeric, I've been left speechless at just how beautiful the production and quality of the audio I was pumping straight into my skull sounded.
'Infra' shows Mercury Sky create material that is heavier and more delicate than their previous work, which shows what the band set out to achieve, a step forward in what they are capable of.
The 6 tracks of pure beauty called 'Infra' will be available Friday September 22. 'Nausea' is now available on spotify.
