'Desperate to find the truth, Broken Dreams and Wasted Youth'
Snark bring the nostalgic vibes with their new single 'Wasted Youth'. Power chords, bass runs, pounding drums and catchy melodies - Snark have come through with a gem. The song begins with a nice dirty guitar and then the band kicks in, making me want to jump right along and bringing me back to being a 16 year old kid listening to Blink and MxPx at a shitty house party whilst begging my older brothers to buy me some woodstocks!
There are two vocalist which really give the blink vibe, and they both come across angsty, spitting words about what it's like to be a youth and being told you are going to amount to nothing special. We've all been there before and Snark make us remember those days whilst also jumping along to the catchy melodies throughout the track. I really enjoyed the little bass licks throughout and the boys always bring it back to the catchy chorus with some sweet little licks with the guitar along the way.
Overall I enjoyed listening to the track, it's fun, simple, energetic and for me, brings me back to being a kid when it was me against the world and I couldn't give a shit who I took down along the way. Good job lads, I can't wait to hear more from you, and maybe get to play a show with you lads again when you're back in Sydney!
