Skies Collide are an up-and-coming three-piece heavy band from Brisbane. They've just dropped their new record "The Dream and The Lie". In the lead single 'Come Alive' Brittany Wilson the lead singer, delivers an exceptional vocal performance. Possessing an almost Hayley Williams (Paramore) like accent in her vocals which adds nice texture to the song.

Come Alive is an upbeat track which lands in the blurry line between hard pop and soft rock with an electronic undertone. The tune is catchy enough to be in your head all day, the guitar riff still has me bouncing and continues working well with the bass line throughout the song. I found the drumming to be of a very high standard, simple yet fitting.

I'm expecting a lot more out of these guys, and I anticipate a very successful tour, and many future albums.
