“Just let it fade. Can’t let this whole world slip away. Your thoughts betray you. Is this where I belong?”

Avenues End are a three-piece indie rock band from the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. This band has had a decent following in the past year after releasing their debut EP “It’s Not All Bad” back in November last year and playing a launch show at the Rockstar Bar in Frankston. This song in particular, 'Racing Time' seems to be about the perception of running against the clock and dealing with the fast-paced nature of society as well as the feeling of drowning inside your own head.

Musically, this is a really chilled out indie track with a catchy sing-a-long chorus and a great hook section to end the track on. The combination of Ryan and Matt’s vocals work really well together like they’re echoing against one another. The lyric video is both simple yet effective with the use of live band footage and silhouetting each band member against some beautiful moving footage of clouds, grass, streetlights, cars, the pier and the ocean.
