Error37 Vocalist and Bassist Part Ways With Band Midway Through European Tour

At the end of last year in December, local Melbourne based band Error37 announced their European tour which would’ve seen them play 37 dates, finishing in the Czech Republic, after making their way around the continent. Unfortunately, these plans have been cut short by the sudden departure of Vocalist Josh Reynolds and Bassist Keegan Mew.
The band’s official statement regarding their departure is as follows:
“Hello everyone We apologise for seeming so inactive, life on the road is busy.
We have played some amazing shows in Ukraine to 100s of people.
But unfortunately after entering Russia a few days ago due to personal reasons Josh and Keegan have decided to leave the band and return to Australia.
Whilst they do this Ash and Damon will play 7 more shows in Russia with some great session musicians. But we also have to cancel all European shows after Russia.
We apologise for the inconvenience. All your pre bought tickets will be refunded.
But we will continue to write music one way or another. Thankyou everyone for your support!”
When asked about the future of the band following this incident, Error37 responded “Yes the band will continue to play and write new music but with new members.”
For the remainder of the tour, the lead vocals and bass will be covered by musicians found via an online auditioning process held on popular Russian social media platform VKontakte. When I asked the band, they confirmed this with the following:
“...we found [the tour replacements] through the 100s of auditions we received through our VKontakte group, we narrowed it down to a few and then after discussion we picked the 2 best fitted for the job.
They had to be from Russia as visas would take too long for anyone outside Russia to receive.
They both have previously been in small projects with friends, but we saw their potential and are really happy with our decision to take them onboard”
We here at BTS hope these guys can get back on their feet with a new lineup as soon as possible, as we believe these guys have some very real potential in developing there scene and that they deserve to flourish for it, especially in the face of these events.
