It’s been a few months since we’ve heard any new music from this 5 piece Melbourne-based Alternative Melodic Pop band. They dropped their debut EP "Fade" back in May last year followed by "The Fade Session" in September which featured stripped back acoustic versions of those tracks. Cementing their current line-up by making guitarists Liam Guinane and Jesse Crofts permanent members has obviously had a positive effect on the band. Their songwriting and collaboration has become even stronger and this can be noted on their new single 'New Infinite'.

'New Infinite' builds upon the foundations of their previous releases and adds a more daring and adventurous dynamic to the band’s music. The band have stepped it up in every way possible from tighter melodic sections, explosive guitar riffs, harsher screams and more heartfelt, uplifting clean vocals from Will King. The lyrics are as personal and honest as ever, talking about fighting inner demons, feeling directionless, finding strength and using weather metaphors. It’s good to see the other band members getting involved, particularly Liam Guinane who adds backing vocals during the chorus.

The music video features the band against a couple of different backdrops including rustic-looking warehouses and timber window frames. This reflects the light and dark shades described in their lyrics. There is also a beautiful circular leadlight window like those you see in churches and cathedrals which features Hayley Roe & Sophia Walker doing some ballet movements towards the end of the music video. The yellow and blue, fairy-like flares that encircle the band members and the two girls is also a neat visual effect which elevates the music video beyond the typical “band playing in a random space” cliché.
