As A Rival recently dropped their latest single 'Bring Out The Dead' and if the catchy chorus doesn't stick with you, the thumping Guitar licks will.
The track kicks off with a fist pumping riff and doesn't let off from there. The pounding drums match the marching rhythm of the riff work throughout the track. The vocals kick in and i'm instantly brought back to the rock I listened to when I was a younger, more hard edge lad. Vocalist Pete Cerni has an awesome range, hitting some notes that bleed Rock n Roll. The drums especially in the verses really stick out to me, they are constant and the drummer is making his way around the kit like a man on a mission.
I won't lie, the chorus got stuck in my head the very first listen. It's a short and sweet chorus which is perfect for the sound the lads are producing. It's hard hitting, in your face and is just begging to be screamed back at them.
The heart isn't the only thing racing as the track booms along at a nice steady, fist pumping pace. There are nice guitar licks throughout, some sweet harmonious vocals and the rhythm section which doesn't stop to let you breathe. There is a break in the middle that will allow you to catch some breath and wipe the sweat away but don't let that fool you, the riff work kicks right back in and you are at it again.
The production quality on the track is great. All instruments cut through nicely, the drums especially really impressed me and stood out. Which is pretty crazy because the riff work is insane.
Overall the track is a solid track. It's tight as hell and as mentioned previously the fist pumping feel to it just brought a smile to my face. It made me want to be stuck in the middle of a pit bouncing up and down and having a great time which is weird because at my age now, I don't like doing that so much anymore.
