"I took a trip today one thousand miles away And travelled further down a path that I had made So I just followed it to where it all began Until it all went quiet, that noise that's in your head"

What a return by Aussie rock legends COG!! It’s been 10 years since their last release, and recently they have graced our ears with their new single ‘The Middle’. COG have not wavered from their signature sound with this new release. It’s a great introduction for people who are new comers to their music.

‘The Middle’ stylistically gives the listener so much, with it’s alluring acoustic beginning to it’s crushing guitars as the song builds. It’s atmospheric, melodic and down right COG. One thing I especially enjoyed was the driving bass and drums. Everything a great rock song needs.

This song takes me back to when I first saw COG play at the ‘Cool-stores’ on the Mornington Peninsula, being jostled in the mosh while screaming along “I gotta run, gotta run, gotta run today”.

Lets hope ‘The Middle’ is a sign of what new music is to come. I will be waiting in anticipation.

In COG we trust!

Cog’s national tour is fast approaching February with some venues already sold out. So get in quick to see if you can snap up a ticket. Check it out here.
