“You’re afraid to die but you’re scared to live/tell me how your faith will save you”
Heavy vocals, check. Heavy guitars, check. Heavy drums, check. Two minutes of intricate lyrics breaking down religious views and actions, check. You now have all the ingredients to make a perfect metalcore track.
Beginning this track is a build-up riff which is concluded by explosive vocals and instrumental eruptions, kicking off the astounding track ‘The First Heretic.’ Taken off their soon to be released EP "Let The Galaxy Burn" this track is a taste of the guaranteed banger that will hopefully be invading our ear drums in a short space of time. Throughout the track the vocals of Luke provide a heavy and powerful sound that combined with the technical instrument work create a perfect blend of heavy and head banging tunes.
I found myself enjoying this track more and more every time I listened to it. The lyrics within this track I found to be incredibly powerful and able to make the listener question their beliefs. This song had me entrapped from start to finish and I guarantee that if you haven’t listened to it yet, it will have the same effect on you.
